Description

The purpose of Foroige is to enable young people to involve themselves consciously & actively in their own development and in the development of society. This purpose challenges and supports young people to involve themselves in developing their characters and talents. 

Whitechurch Junior Foroige Club is a junior club for young people aged 10-12 years. It is a fun opportunity for young people to make friends, learn new skills and develop good interpersonal skills.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Assisting with the running of youth group. Encouraging young people to get actively involved in organising activities and events.

Working with young people and other volunteers as a team. Building positive relationships with young people in group.

Exploring opportunities with young people. Helping young people achieve things for themselves. Creating an enjoyable and fun atmosphere in the group.

There are also opportunities to engage with young people in organised online clubs and activities

Any skills you would like to share.. baking, sports, dance, art, quizzing ...... the list is endless!

Reliability

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Friday afternoon - 2pm - 4pm

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
