Requirements:18+ years of age
We are looking for committed volunteers to run weekly youth clubs across the Tallaght area. Volunteers must undergo Garda Vetting alongside Foróige Starting Out volunteer training and Child Protection training, which will be provided free of charge.
Clubs range from ages 10-18. We provide 3 different types of clubs Junior clubs 10-12 years, Foroige clubs 12-18 years and Special Interest Clubs. All clubs run for 1-2 hours per week every week.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Volunteers will be expected to support young people in choosing and running activities on a weekly basis. Clubs should be a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for young people to be able to socialise and make friends! Volunteers will be expected to work alongside other volunteers in providing for the needs of young people. Volunteers have the opportunity to join existing clubs or to begin their own club with the support of other volunteers.
Skills required for this role:
Volunteers should be approachable and have a want to work alongside and support young people. The connections and relations made with young people are extremely important and should be healthy supportive relations as a mentor and leader.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Clubs meet once a week and usually run on various days Monday-Friday in the evenings. Club days differ depending on availability of volunteers. Volunteers can be assigned to clubs that suit their availability or we can discuss opening new clubs that volunteers can suit to their own availability.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
