Requirements:Strong communication, patience, basic literacy/digital skills, and willingness to help.
Are you passionate about teaching and empowering others? We’re looking for volunteers to provide one-to-one support in Literacy, English, or Digital skills for adults in our service. Your guidance can help individuals build confidence, improve communication, and develop essential skills for daily life and progression.
As a volunteer, you’ll facilitate basic reading and writing, conversational English, or digital literacy basics, you will receive support in creating the sessions. No formal teaching experience is required, but patience, encouragement, and a supportive approach.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Skills required for this role:
No formal teaching experience is required, just strong communication skills, patience, and passion for helping others.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week

To ensure the best experience for both volunteers and the people we support, we have a structured screening and onboarding process in place:

2. You’ll be invited for an informal interview to chat about the opportunity and your experience.
3. Garda vetting will be required for all volunteer roles.
4. You’ll complete some online training modules relevant to your role.
5. We’ll provide one-to-one support and guidance throughout the process.
6. You’ll receive a full induction into the service and your volunteering role.
