Requirements:TU Dublin Students only. Enthusiastic about gardening and the environment

Description

TU Dublin Community Garden at Grangegorman - an exciting collaborative garden project between the university, a local school and various partner organisations in the D7 area - needs student volunteers to maintain the garden and ensure its upkeep.

Volunteering with the Community Garden is low committment and usually can be done in your own time, fitting around your student schedule.

An example of a task would be to collect coffee grounds that can be used as compost from Kennedy's Cafe in East Quad at Grangegorman and bring these to the garden and spread onto the beds.

There will be other times when help with planting or preparing the flower beds is required.

Depending on your skills and interests we are sure we can find ways for you to volunteer with our Community Garden.

Instruction will be given the first time you do any volunteering work for the garden and students will work in small teams to help each other with tasks.

Benefits are wide ranging from learning about sustainable gardening practices to having the chance to work outside and get away from coursework and screens for a little time while on campus.

If you have an interest in helping out please apply with one line or two about your rmotivation.

No prior experience necessary.
