Description

The GLAS gardens are centre of environmental education and by inviting you, our students to volunteer for a half hour/ an hour or two hours (depending on your schedule) each Thursday afternoon from 2pm we are offering a valuable chance to learn about organic horticulture and gardening for biodiversity.

Our TU Dublin GLAS community garden at Blanchardstonw is a centre of social inclusion and aims to bring people of all ages and abilities together including our own students and staff, providing a sense of belonging and of wellbeing in our University community.

No experience is necessary and please come on your own or with your university friends and classmates. You will meet Lee who manages the garden and have th eopportunity to do some light gardening work and grab a tea or coffee together.

There is no specific time committment on a Thursday afternoon - if you can come each week for a little time like twenty minutes that's fine or each month for an hour only that's all ok. We want to make it accessible to students with busy schedules too.

We would love to log your time here as a volunteer with GLAS @TU Dublin too and if it is only twenty minutes here and there you can add it up and the hours will come together over the weeks and months and you may earn your TU Dublin Pillar of the Community Medal.

Just press apply and tell us when you might be able to come along to volunteer with us. We look forward to seeing you there!
