Are you ready to take action for global justice?

Trócaire Trailblazer Programme empowers university students across Ireland to become changemakers. This isn’t just about learning; it’s about taking action. You’ll gain the skills, network, and hands-on experience needed to campaign for justice, tackle the root causes of poverty, and mobilise your peers for lasting change.

The application takes just 5 minutes!

  • Submit a short video on why you want to join.

  • Answer one short essay question.

With a commitment of just 2-3 hours per week and monthly check-ins, apply now and be part of the movement!

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

As a Trocaire Trailblazer, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience in leadership, advocacy, and campaign management.
  • Connect with industry leaders, experts, and like-minded peers.
  • Receive a certificate of participation and showcase your work through Trócaire’s platforms.
  • Access an alumni network for future opportunities in social impact, policy, and development.
  • Participate in workshops on leadership, policy advocacy, and global justice.
  • Act as a Trócaire representative on campus, leading advocacy and awareness campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Trócaire staff, fellow ambassadors, and university groups to drive impactful initiatives.

Skills required for this role:

We are looking for passionate and motivated university students who:

  • Are committed to social justice, climate action, and human rights.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are proactive, creative, and eager to lead campus-based initiatives.
  • Can dedicate 1-2 hours per week to programme activities.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Time committment for this opportunity is flexible.

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
