Togetherall is a digital mental resource offering a wide variety of rescourses to help people take control of their emotional wellbeing, consisiting of community peer support and clincial resources to promote self care. 

Our Trained Peers program gives you the opportunity to support our members and help navigate their mental health experiences through our digital platform. You will learn and develop peer support skills enhancing own personal skills and development, gain real world experience iand earn a Trained Peers Credential when pursuing careers in this field.  

The 10 week, remote program offers a digital peer support training experience, trained, mentored and supervised by registered mental health practitioners. To gain your credential, you will provide real-time support to individuals from a variety of backgrounds, attend group-facilitated discussions with fellow peer and clincians, and advocate for mental health awareness in your community.

If you have an interest in the mental health field, have your own lived experience you want to share with others to support and inspire or have a passion to help others, this is the program for you.

This opportunity empowers you to feel more confident when talking about mental health and recommending others to seek mental health support. Personal development in communication skills, learning personal centered skills that can be used in everyday life and making a difference in peoples lives.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

full on-boarding, training and mentorship. 

participate in 15 hours of peer support over the 10 week period. 

Attend and participate in supervised sessions with other trained peers and our professionals

Plan and execute up to 3 advocacy activites promoting mental health in your community 

Complete survey apon completion of program

Skills required for this role:

All training will be provided for this program. 

Enrollment in a mental health or social science program and a basic understanding in mental health can be useful, but not a requirement. Togetherall will provide training and supervision along the way. 

Details of time commitment needed for role:
15 hours of peer support in your own time, when suited to you.

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
