Requirements:
The Rehab Group’s Sustainability Team is seeking passionate, imaginative individuals who are currently studying sustainability, environmental sciences, or a related field to join us as Sustainability Innovation Volunteers. This is an opportunity to contribute creatively to our ongoing environmental initiatives, bring fresh perspectives, and help shape innovative sustainability solutions across our organisation. You will be included in all meetings that are relevant and can be as proactively involved in the development of sustainability within The Rehab Group as you choose.
Collaborate with the Sustainability Team to brainstorm and prototype creative initiatives related to climate action, energy use, waste reduction, and environmental engagement.
Support the development of campaigns, toolkits, and digital resources that make sustainability engaging and accessible across Rehab Group services.
Assist in crafting sustainability-themed content (e.g. social media, internal newsletters, educational materials).
Contribute to brainstorming sessions on embedding sustainability into day-to-day operations and cultural practices within the organisation.
Provide feedback on the organisation’s climate action roadmap and environmental communication strategies.
Ideal Candidate
Currently studying sustainability, environmental science, climate policy, or a related field.
Creative thinker with an interest in behaviour change, communication, and innovation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Passion for disability inclusion and social justice is a plus.
There are no necessary qualifications! We are looking for individuals who want to help and learn in an emerging field and to work alongside our Energy and Sustainability Coordinator.

You do not need any qualification to apply. These are just preferences. What we are looking for is enthusiasm.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
The tasks will vary based on the interests of the volunteers.
The Rehab Group is a very large and diverse organisation and there are opportunities to be as involved. What would be fantastic would be for our volunteers to help guide our green teams across the country and provide guidance on small activities they can take part in.
Skills required for this role:
This volunteer roles are to help give students experiences. There are no requirements other than enthusiasm. You can learn on the role and be as invested as you are able to.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
