The AHSS CARE - Committee on Student Access, Retention and Engagement are looking for students to sit on the committee and help staff members evaluate and develop actions for student engagement and retention. CARE has 3 subgroups: student retention, widening participation and inclusive teaching. We would like our actions to be as student focused as possible and would very much welcome students on the committee to speak from their experience and to help us develop policy and materials to tackle issues that students might be facing.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
The CARE group meets twice a semester and the subgroups will meet an additional 2 times per semester. Students will be asked to attend approx. 1 meeting per month
Skills required for this role:
Interest in inclusivity and diversity, interest in advising lecturing staff on inclusive teaching, advocacy skills
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Meetings take place during core hours of 10am to 4pm.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
