NOVAS Street Outreach programme operates seven nights a week 365 days of the year, providing hot meals, a kind word and support to marginalised people living on the streets of Limerick City. Those availing of the service are among the most vulnerable in society. The programme is run by a group of 50 volunteers and is supported by NOVAS Staff.
Duties include – Driving the Street Outreach Van, supporting clients, picking up and serving food. Training and supports are provided by NOVAS. Shifts are available every day from 6pm – 8pm. On average volunteers would do 2 shifts a month and can select the days that suit them.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
