Requirements:A camera either on phone or a physical cameria.
We are searching for a volunteer to call into us once a week to either our cafe, Cafe Link, at 25 Newcastle Road H91XW8R or our Bakery 5A Sandy Road, H91ET27 on rotation each week.
We would like someone who has an interest in social media who can create content, preferably short clips or edited photos, to post on our social media or website.
We employ 17 people with a disability in Galway City. We operate our cafe for the general public, Cafe Link, our Bakery & Catering Service as well as our Catering Skills training centre. We started in 1994 and have gone through a period of growth in the past two years with plans to open a second cafe this year with a third under negotiation within the next three years.
We are a social enterprise operating on a not for profit basis. Any revenue generated goes into employing our staff as Ireland currently has the lowest employment rate for people with a disability in Europe.
We can offer training, a reference for future employment, experience in the disability and social enterprise sector. We offer all staff and volunteers access to our Employee Assistance Service which has access to free councilling services as well as access to discounts such as cheap cinema tickets. We can also offer free coffee whenever you visit our cafe and a voucher once per month to spend in our cafe on food or items from our bakery!

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
-Visit the cafe or bakery each week to build content rotating the location each week to capture our supported staff at work!
-Edit the content and share on a social media. Ideally, one tile per week on Instagram with one story per day to build our following. We have access to Buffer schedulling software. For LinkedIn & Facebook, a post of once per week.
-Explore the possibility of Tik Tok as we have not explored this media channel.
Skills required for this role:
-Comfortable working and communicating to our ahrd working staff team who happen to have an intellectual disability.
-Familiar with social media and content creation.
-Be open to working with Buffer social media schedulling software.
-Be comfortable with editing software after such is complete (Your welcome to sit and work from our coffee where you can have all the free coffee you desire as well as a monthly voucher to spend on meals or our bakery items!)
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Any Two hours between Monday-Friday 9am-3/4pm depending on location
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
Informal interviews (chats!) over coffee at our cafe!
