Become a Content Creator for the SVO at UL!

Are you studying at the University of Limerick and passionate about storytelling? The Student Volunteering Office (SVO) is looking for creative individuals to help us showcase the incredible world of student volunteering.

What You'll Do:

  • Write engaging blog posts or create vlogs for our student blog.
  • Capture and gather content such as photos, videos, and stories from fellow students.
  • Gather content (Photos & Videos) when you are out volunteering.

What We're Looking For:

  • Creativity and enthusiasm for producing compelling content.
  • A passion for promoting the benefits of volunteering in a positive way.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Vlogging and Video Creation:

    • Record and edit short vlogs featuring student volunteers, events, or personal experiences.
    • Create promotional videos to inspire others to get involved.
  • Social Media:

    • Create visually appealing content such as graphics, reels, and stories.
  • Content Gathering:

    • Interview students about their volunteering experiences for stories or testimonials.
    • Attend SVO-related events to take photos, videos, and collect key highlights.
  • Photography and Videography:

    • Capture high-quality photos and videos during events or volunteering activities.
    • Ensure content aligns with the SVO's brand and messaging.
  • Brainstorming and Collaboration:

    • Work with the SVO team to plan content campaigns.
    • Share ideas for creative ways to engage students through content.

Skills required for this role:

  • Basic video production and editing.
  • Photography and visual content creation.
  • Creativity and idea generation for campaigns.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut etc.
