Description

The Peer Drugs Committee plays a vital role in supporting and promoting pharmacology education through various channels. The committee is made up of three key roles: Social Media Managers, Lecture Coordinators, and Tutors.

Social Media Managers

  • Oversee social media activity and lectures throughout the academic year.
  • Promote lessons and lectures to 1st-3rd year students on Facebook.
  • Ensure posts are made 3 days before, the morning of, and an hour before the lectures.
  • Manage Facebook and Instagram accounts for the Peer Drugs group:
    • Weekly pharmacology stories: share one or two quiz questions, polls, and fun facts, keeping them relevant to the current PBL week’s focus.

Lecture Coordinators

  • Coordinate communication with tutors and presenters, ensuring all lessons are delivered on time.
  • Set up Zoom links and ensure timely delivery of lessons according to the schedule.
  • Send email reminders to presenters one week prior to their assigned lecture date (using provided email templates).
  • Upload and post lecture slides to the Google Drive and Facebook after each session.
  • Supervise sessions and monitor the chat to facilitate smooth delivery.

Tutors

  • Each tutor is responsible for creating Google slides on their assigned topic, delivering high-quality content to help students understand complex pharmacology concepts.
