Description

With the return to campus, we're looking for volunteers to take part and supervise our bi-annual 'Meet Your Neighbours' tea & coffee night! A great opportunity for newly arriving students to meet their fellow on-campus residents, and connect with people from around the world.

The event is set to run on Tuesday, January 21st 2025, from 6pm - 7:30pm. Volunteers are expected to complete an estimated 2 hours over this single day period. Meet-ups will take place in each of the 6 Village spaces we currently have on-campus - Cappavilla/Quigley, Thomond, Dromroe/Drominbeg, Kilmurry, Plassey & Troy/Groody.

All areas will be pre-setup ahead of the event, though Volunteers may be required to do a small cleanup of the Village spaces as necessary afterwards. Volunteers who have been accepted for the role will be contacted directly by the UL Accommodation Residential Life Team with exact details on their designated location and any further supervising details.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

• Supervise Tea & Coffee social meet-up event
• Monitor stock and top up as neccesary
• General space cleanup
• Take photos of the event in action

• Social skills
• Ability to work in a team

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Tuesday, January 21st 6pm - 8pm -> 2 hrs required

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
