Description

CARI are seeking dedicated volunteers to help with our  HR, Admin and Finance. CARI is dedicated to providing support and advocacy for children and families affected by abuse, is looking for motivated students to assist with essential administrative & HR tasks. This volunteer role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our service, helping us deliver vital services to those in need. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people while gaining hands-on experience in human resources, administration and finance within the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with HR tasks.
  • Help manage payroll, expenses, and budget tracking to ensure financial accountability.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients, volunteers, and donors in our database.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the day-to-day operations.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Discretion and respect for confidentiality, especially when handling sensitive information.

Skills required for this role:

  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of HR and/or finance principles; prior experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Hours are flexible

Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week

A short interview may be conducted to assess the candidate's suitability for the role. This could include discussing their administrative skills and previous experience.
