Are you a student studying marketing, event management, business, or a related field? Looking to gain real-world experience while making a positive impact? Aphasia Ireland is a registered charity dedicated to supporting people living with aphasia and is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our event management team and make a real impact on our world today!
As part of the team, you'll:
• Develop innovative event ideas to raise essential funds for our charity.
• Research and apply for grants, gaining valuable insights into funding processes whilst raising money for the charity
• Plan, organize, and execute events in order to raise the essential funds for the running of the charity, sharpening your project management, communication and organisational skills.
This is the perfect opportunity to apply your studies in a practical setting, build your CV, and gain hands-on experience in fundraising, marketing, and event planning. Best of all, you'll be contributing to a cause that changes lives of many.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
As a member of our event management team, you will play a key role in planning events to ensure their successful execution. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to research and apply for grants to support the smooth running of the charity.
Skills required for this role:
This position requires exceptional organizational skills to manage day-to-day tasks and ensure the smooth preparation of events. Strong time management abilities are critical, as you will need to meet deadlines to facilitate the coordination of activities. Excellent communication and public speaking skills are essential, as you will engage with venues, sponsors, and partners while representing the charity at events and meetings. Creative thinking is highly valued, as it will enable you to develop innovative event concepts, and teamwork is crucial as you collaborate with others to bring these ideas to life.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
2 hours per week which can be completed in the students own time.
Please note this role includes online meetings with other volunteers.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
