-No previous experience required

-Skills in Canva, writing for social media (personal or work-related), making videos a plus but not an absolute requirement

-Be Creative: design social meda posts and graphs on Canva, come up with innovative ideas for events and social posts

-Show Initiative and curiosity: ask questions, learn and go beyond the task at hand

-Show commitment: to human rights and equality and passion about the work of DORAS

Time Commitment

- Able to be in the DORAS Office (No. 2 The Crescent, Limerick V94 P281  for 1 or 2 mornings or afternoons/week (preferably Mondays or Tuesdays)

3-6  hours a week (more if available)

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

DORAS has an opportunity/vacancy for a volunteer in its Communications Department. The volunteer will work alongside the Communications Lead on selected communication activities,

such as.....

*designing graphs

* making videos for social media

*conducting research for events and social media posts

*and providing support to fundraising events (from conception to delivery).

No previous experence required, however applicants that possess relevant skills such as

     **Knowledge of Canva (for making videos & designing posters)

     **Knowledge of social media channels, specifically TikTok and Instagram

willl have an advantage.

Skills required for this role:

The ideal candidate will be creative and have the ability to think of innovtive ideas for events and communications; have initiative and be curious, not afraid to ask questions, learn and go beyond the task at hand; committed to human rights and equality and passionate about the work of DORAS.

Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
A short Zoom interview may form part of the screening process
