Description

We're on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to be a part of our  STAND Student Festival Info Booth team!

Your role will be engaging and rewarding, with a variety of fun tasks: 

  • Run Interactive Games: Engage festival-goers with our interactive games and reward them with tasty sweets and donuts. 
  • Connect with Students: Invite students to learn more about STAND and sign up for our updates. 
  • Collect Survey Entries: Gather survey inputs from students and hand out prizes for their participation. 
  • Gather Vox Pops: Work with our STAND News Editor to capture lively vox pops from around the campus. 
  • Monitor Exhibitions: Help us oversee our exhibition and keep track of visitor interactions. 
  • Support the Clothing Sale: Assist with our Change Clothes second-hand clothing sale, making it a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. 

Autumn Festival Schedule (Spring Schedule will be releases later): 

  • 23rd to 27th September @NCAD: All week exhibition and on the 23rd September We will host an Info Booth and Market Place with Change Clothes, USI and Concern on 23rd September 
  • 30th September to 4th October @TU Dublin: All week exhibition. STAND Info Booth & Concern Worldwide will visit the Volunteers Fair in Tallaght on 1st Oct, Grangegorman 2nd Oct and Blanchardstown 3rd Oct. Change Clothes will join us for a second-hand clothes sale on 2nd Oct in Grangegorman
  • 14th to 18th October @DCU: More info coming soon
  • 21st to 25th October @TUS Athlone: All week exhibition. On the 23rd October we will host an Info Booth and Market Place with Change Clothes, Go Dance for Change, USI and Concern. 
  • 11th to 15th November @Moylish campus - more info coming soon
  • 18th to 22nd November @LSAD - more info coming soon

Your involvement will make a big difference in ensuring the festival is a success. Plus, you'll get to be part of a fantastic team and have fun while you're at it. You’ll also receive a much sought-after STAND activist T shirt and tote bag!

Skills required for this role:

There are no requirements for this position, but you will enjoy it if you have an interest in global issues & enjoy interacting with people!

Details of time commitment needed for role:
You will be needed for a couple of hours on the day of the Info Booth and Market Place.

Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week
