Requirements:People person, interested in global justice, studying at UCC, UL, MU or TCD
Are you looking for volunteering opportunities to contribute towards your student volunteer award? Are you interested in social justice and in helping to advocate equality on your campus - while joining a supportive community of activists and changemakers?
STAND is recruiting volunteer STAND Ambassadors on four campuses - UL, UCC, MU and TCD - this Spring.
Ambassadors will be the ‘friendly face’ of STAND on campus and play a key role in raising awareness of student opportunities, representing STAND at outreach events and helping to bring the STAND Festival to life.
Time commitment: 10 -14 hours between January - March 2025
Key dates: The Festival will spend one week on the following campuses where Ambassador support availability will be required.
University College Cork (UCC): 10-14th February
University of Limerick (UL): 17 - 21st February
Maynooth University (MU): 3rd - 7th March
Trinity College Dublin (TCD): 10 - 14th March

Time commitment:
Approximately 10 – 14 hours over 2 months, which includes:
online induction: week of 3rd February 2025
Approx 2 hours per week in lead up to Festival on your campus
1 –2 hours per day during Festival week
Additional time as you wish
Required activities:
Represent STAND at least one outreach event during the academic year (eg. an info booth or fair - materials and merchandise provided!)
Represent STAND at info booth during STAND Festival Week (1 – 2 hours)
Actively seek opportunities to promote STAND opportunities among students and staff
Optional activities:
Create 1-2 pieces of content for STAND online platforms eg. Tiktok / Instagram / STAND News
Other activities as they arise – we love creative ideas!

ABOUT STAND
STAND celebrates the power of ordinary people to change the world. We support third-level students to stand up for justice and equality, learn more about important global issues, and find out how they can take positive action. We do this by running a range of activities in collaboration with students at third-level campuses across Ireland, including:
STAND Student Festival: annual film and art exhibition for students highlighting global justice issues.
STAND Global Issues Course: part-time evening course for students who want to change the world.
STAND Ideas Collective: summer bootcamp to develop creative solutions to global problems.
STAND Changemakers Academy: a 6-month immersive changemakers programme for ambitious postgraduates and graduates from across the globe.
STAND News: an online student-run news outlet focusing on global justice and equality issues.
