We are looking at creating an APP to:

Our Pay Forward process:  a customer has an account with us, where they can add money to their account at the till or through Online Banking. They use their money to pay for their shopping.  It would be great to have an APP where they can check their balance automatically.  It is a very manual process with a little bit of automation via Outlook Quick Parts, as we send them a monthly email letting them know their current balance. More information on Pay Forward is attached.

Also, we use a basic text APP to inform customers about special offers & surplus foods available in-store. No registration or sign-up is required.

It would be great to amalgamate or link the 2 projects.

Further down the line, we would envisage using the APP to include details on events, classes, blogs and newsletter, plus online shopping, available on our website now. https://www.theurbanco-op.ie/

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Research and analyse our current systems

Design, create and test an APP

Skills required for this role:

APP programming experience

Immersive Software Engineering experience (preferred)

Details of time commitment needed for role:
On-site Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Remote any other time.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
