EIL Explore Intercultural Learning Scholarship – Apply Now!
EIL Explore opportunities have opened for applications, more information on EIL Explore at www.eilireland.org/explore
University of Galway students can apply for fully funded intercultural learning programmes by participating in EIL Access Award, EIL Mature Award or the EIL ALIVE Award.
EIL Intercultural Learning is a Cork-based educational charity working nationally and internationally, which funds overseas intercultural learning adventures which challenge participants to become an active global citizen. It is a fully funded travel experience (including flights, accommodation, insurance, meals, transfers, training, and support). The winners of the Travel Award will travel in Summer 2023 for 8 weeks and they can select from a range of countries including Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Vietnam and South Africa. Each project is different but for example in Mexico, participants will undertake Spanish language lessons, experience living with a host family for a full intercultural learning experience along with volunteering in an Ecological Park.
The Access and Mature student awards are for any access or mature students who are enrolled in an undergraduate programme.
Please email maturestudents@nuigalway.ie for an application form and fully completed applications need to be sent to Kathleen Hartigan in the Mature Students Office. If you are not a mature or access student you can email alive@universityofgalway.ie for an application form.
Closing date: is the 9th of December and interviews will take place in January.
