WHAT IS THE SCHOLARSHIP?

• EIL Intercultural Learning is a Cork-based educational charity working nationally and internationally, which funds overseas intercultural learning adventures which challenge participants to become active global citizens. It is a fully funded travel experience (including flights, accommodation, insurance, meals, transfers, training, and support).
• The winners of the Travel Award will travel in the Summer of 2023 for eight weeks, and they can select from a range of countries, including Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Vietnam and South Africa. Each project is different, but for example, in Mexico, participants will undertake Spanish language lessons, experience living with a host family for a whole intercultural learning experience, along with volunteering in an Ecological Park. 
• Awardees use their experience overseas to learn more about the global community in a supported environment that challenges them to grow personally. The vision is that upon their return to Ireland, Explorers will have grown as individuals and will use this wonderful learning experience to be agents for change in their local community advocating for a more globally just society.
• The University of Galway students can apply for fully funded intercultural learning programmes by participating in EIL Access Award, EIL Mature Award or the EIL ALIVE Award.#
