The EIL Scholarship is funded by EIL and supported by NUI Galway's ALIVE and Mature Students Offices.
All welcome!
The scholarship is an opportunity to travel to a community of the world and learn about their civic and community life and engagement. Applicants should be super involved in a Galway, campus or home community and have goals to develop their learning and understanding of community engagement. The project centers on culture and a learning experience. Time spent in the community is voluntary and unpaid and you support the work of the local people while learning, bringing and sharing.
Community engagement is a vital skill to learn and nurture. Ireland is diverse and the communities of Ireland need future leaders with the ability to engage for community voice to be heard.
