About the European Capital of Volunteering 2017 - Sligo!

EU Capital of Volunteering website and the ALIVE Certificate ceremony!

Information about registering for ALIVE will be given at the Volunteering presentation on Tuesday 17th January 1.00pm near the canteen and the Sligo Volunteer Centre will be there too and available to support you.

What can Volunteering offer you?

Volunteering can offer you invaluable experience, networking opportunities and can really enhance your job prospects!

• St Angela’s students volunteer in all kinds of ways, in the College and out in the broader community.
• You may have volunteered to be a class rep, a mentor, or a leader of a club or society.
• You may already volunteer in your home place, or locally in Sligo.
• Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills and gain valuable experience which may help to further your future career.
• It is a great way to experience something completely different and learn something new about yourself.

Complete the online application form here and complete at least 10 hours of volunteering, then you will be invited to receive an ALIVE certificate which verifies your learning from volunteering activity.
