At the end of this session, you will have oversight of the legislation and the practical steps of Garda Vetting volunteers correctly and legally within your organisation.

Stuart Garland is the training and programme manager for Volunteer Ireland. Volunteer Ireland is the national volunteer development organisation and a support body for all local Volunteer Centres in Ireland. Stuart leads, develops and manages event and ambassador volunteering programmes. He was a National Accreditor for European Voluntary Service (EVS) and is a lead trainer in the use of Volunteer Impact Assessment and is an Assessor for the Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard. He holds qualifications in Volunteer Management & Leadership, Teaching & Learning, Event Management, Human Resource Management, First Line Management and Health, Safety & Welfare.
