Keep Kate Walking.
Kate O’Sullivan, is a 23-year-old UCC Chemistry and Forensic Science graduate, from Castletroy and Kate has Cerebral Palsy. Due to this condition, the tightness in Kate’s legs is increasing, until she will lose her ability to walk and become wheelchair bound. However, Kate’s fund must raise €100,000 as there is a life changing surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, which will occur in the US in August 2018. This surgery will ensure Kate fulfils her ambitions of working in the Forensic Science field. The launch night for the ‘Keep Kate Walking’ fund will begin on Friday the 9th of February at 8:30 pm at The Pavilion, North Campus at the University of Limerick. The fund is looking for volunteers to bucket collect on Saturday the 10th of February at Munster-v-Zebra at Thomond Park, from 3.45-7.30pm. Transport will be available from UL to Thomond Park if needed. If interested please apply here:
